New Home Sales Consultant

Full-time

We are seeking a highly motivated person with a background in sales or a person with relevant building knowledge who has the ability and ambition to advance their career to a New Home Sales Consultant with Coldon Homes.

Any sales experience is advantageous and doesn’t need to be industry specific to residential building. 

If you have a background or experience in residential building and are looking for a change in career, we also encourage you to apply.

Qualified Carpenter

New Homes: Sales Host

Casual

We are seeking a casual New Homes-Sales Host to work over Saturday and Sunday at our display homes located in Newhaven (11am-4pm) and Wonthaggi (1pm-4pm).

The New Homes-Sales Host is the first point of contact for our prospective clients at our beautiful display homes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be well presented.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Meet, greet and provide informed, helpful advice to clients 
  • Record client information in the database
  • Inspect display homes and ensure they are clean, tidy and well presented for client inspection 
  • Compile and restock marketing related materials as required
  • Provide general assistance to the Sales Consultant as required
  • Booking client meetings and appointments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for work flexibility and/or get a foot in the door into sales, real estate or customer service within residential building and construction.

This role may also suit someone who is retired and seeking an opportunity for community interaction. 

In house training is provided to the successful candidate.

Accounts Officer

We are seeking an Accounts Officer to carry out the operational processes of our accounts department, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation and reporting duties.

Building Supervisor

Permanent Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Building Supervisor or an experienced Tradesperson with the ability and ambition to advance their career to a Building Supervisor. 

Reporting to the Coldon Homes General Manager the Building Supervisor will focus on supervising residential home builds, managing a portfolio of home builds from site start through to the final inspection and handover to our valued client. 

The successful applicant will: 

  • Be experienced in domestic home construction; 
  • Effectively communicate with a diverse customer group including contractors, clients and stakeholders; 
  • Be customer focused and deliver excellent customer service to everyone they engage with;
  • Build strong and ongoing working relations with customers, trades and key stakeholders; 
  • Possess strong organisational skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously; 
  • Coordinate, schedule work, lead and direct tradespeople;
  • Day to day management of trades on site, suppliers, completion of paperwork and other administrative tasks; 
  • Ensure quality homes are built within set time frames and budgeted guidelines;
  • Have well developed problem solving and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work;
  • Understand, comply and enforce OH&S regulations;
  • Ensure correct building practices and procedures are adhered to at all times;
  • Have completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card (mandatory)
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence (mandatory) and
  • Be a person of integrity, drive and energy.

Handyperson / General Maintenance

Contractor

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working person to undertake general maintenance duties across our Coldon building sites located in Venus Bay, Sandy Point, Walkerville, Foster, Inverloch and surrounding areas.

Experience in general maintenance/repairs and confidence to carry out a variety of works is a must.

Duties will include:
– General handyperson and installation duties
– Troubleshooting and resolving issues
– Basic carpentry duties
– Painting touch ups
– Liaising with customers

The successful candidate must have their own transport, tools, ABN and public liability insurance.
